Artist Statement

“Creating” is my DNA and the structure of my bones. It has always feed my soul and is intensely personal.  I follow my creative energy wherever it takes me intellectually, emotionally, visually and physically. There is no predetermined path other than forward and in an ever evolving manner. 

I create art to capture the emotive and visual experience of aerial views in varying mediums - painting, printing and recently added ceramics. I love colorful, colliding, and dimensional abstractions of diverse shapes, lines and patterns in various scales and textures. My works are a compilation of my visual vocabulary in which roadways become lines, forests become textured shapes, cities become grids of color or light and agricultural fields become circles and rectangles. I find joy in exploring the infinite possibilities of aerial abstraction and embrace the influences of learning, exploring, traveling and discussing art.  

Bio

In late 2013, I resigned from a 35 year career directing real estate related leasing, design, construction and operations, most recently, for an international law firm.  Throughout this career, I was fortunate to have spent considerable time selecting artworks for various corporate and law firm collections. This responsibility exposed me to very knowledgable art consultants, world-class artists and their works.
